Fiscal Detail and Notes
Increasing the number of moose permits available through the lottery will increase General Fund revenues collected by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife; the estimated annual amount is $47,250 beginning in fiscal year 2006-07.  In addition, in order to meet the constitutional requirement that the total level of General Fund appropriations must be at least equal to the undedicated revenue collected by the department, the department will require an additional General Fund appropriation of $47,250 or some other adjustment in fiscal year 2006-07 to offset this revenue increase.  Historically, additional General Fund appropriations have been provided to the Savings Fund program to balance additional General Fund revenue or deappropriation affecting the department.
