| Fiscal Detail and Notes | |||||||||
| This bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations of $50,000 per year, beginning in fiscal year 2005-06, to establish the nursing education loan repayment program to be administered by the Finance Authority of Maine. The Authority estimates the cost to administer the program to be approximately $23,700 in fiscal year 2005-06 and $4,000 per year beginning in fiscal year 2006-07. It is not clear whether a portion of the General Fund appropriations included in this bill can be used for administrative costs. If the funding included in this legislation is not available for administrative costs, additional General Fund appropriations will be required for the Authority to administer the program. | |||||||||
