Fiscal Detail and Notes
The requirement that certified pesticide applicators must provide detailed information on each pesticide application to the Pesticides Control Board within the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources and that the board, in turn, must make this information easily available to the public will result in significant additional General Fund costs.  The Pesticides Control Board will require additional General Fund appropriations of $1,711,420 and $1,682,420 in fiscal years 2005-06 and 2006-07, respectively, for the costs of employing necessary seasonal data-entry employees and the costs of database development and implementation to process an estimated 14,000+ entries per day during the sring and summer.
