| The Maine Community College System and the University of Maine System will require additional ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $700,000 in fiscal year 2005-06 and $714,000 in fiscal year 2006-07 for the cost associated with this legislation. This fiscal note assumes costs grow at a 2% per year rate. | |||||||||
| The University of Maine System currently has personnel at each campus that provide services to approximately 300 students with disabilities who receive accommodations. The University estimates the cost for additional personnel needed to provide accommodation arrangements for students who become ill to be approximately $600,000 in fiscal year 2005-06. Additional General Fund appropriations will be required for the cost of the accommodations. The amount can not be determined at this time. | |||||||||
