Fiscal Detail and Notes
Allowing out-of-state shippers to ship wine to a Maine resident is expected to decrease General Fund sales and use tax revenue by $17,239 in fiscal year 2005-06 and $25,612 in fiscal year 2006-07.  Authorizing a registration fee to be  paid by certain out-of-state wine shippers will increase General Fund revenues collected by the Department of Public Safety; the amounts will depend on the number of out-of-state wine shippers who register.  That amount can not be determined at this time and is not relected in the table above.
