The collection of additional fines may also increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts

Beginning in fiscal year 2005-06, the prohibition against convicted felons from possessing firearms will result in the annual loss of $950 in Other Special Revenue Funds revenue collected by the Department of Public Safety from permit fees.
