This
amendment will increase the General Fund cost of the bill by $1,059,673 in
fiscal year 2005-06 and $2,288,894 in fiscal year 2006-07. Based on the estimated year-end balances,
this amendment maintains a balanced budget for the 2006-2007 biennium. |

|
Estimate
based on the actual units of ambulance services for state fiscal year 2004,
the rate difference between MaineCare and Medicare reimbursement for certain
ambulance services, the calculated additional cost if MaineCare reimbursement
equaled Medicare reimbursement, trended forward to state fiscal year 2006,
and assumes a January 1, 2006 start date. |
