Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 28-A MRSA §1355, sub-§3, ķE is enacted to read:

 
E.__A holder of a farm winery license may serve
complimentary samples of wine produced at the winery to
persons who are not minors at trade shows for the purpose of
allowing consumers to taste the wine product at the trade
show.__For the purposes of this paragraph, "trade show"
means an event at which the goods and services of a specific
industry are exhibited, such as, but not limited to, a free
public wine tasting at a licensed retail store or a
restaurant.__A holder of a farm winery license may serve
complimentary samples of wine on Sunday after the hour of
12:00 noon at trade shows.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill allows farm wineries, those wineries manufacturing
less than 50,000 gallons a year, to serve complimentary samples
of wine to consumers at industry trade shows.
