Sec. 1. Local alternatives to mail-order pharmacy for MaineCare beneficiaries.
Resolved:
That the Department of Health and Human Services shall
provide to all MaineCare beneficiaries a local alternative to
out-of-state mail-order pharmacies for access to medications; and
be it further
Sec. 2. Savings; legislative intent. Resolved:
That it is the intent of the
Legislature that any savings in the form of reduced
hospitalizations realized as a result of implementing a local
pharmacy access option must be divided equally among providers,
pharmacies and the MaineCare program.
SUMMARY
This resolve directs the Department of Health and Human
Services to provide local alternatives to MaineCare's mail-order
pharmacy.
