| | | Sec. 1. Evaluate existing rules. Resolved: That the Department of Inland | | Fisheries and Wildlife shall evaluate the effectiveness of the 4 | | categories of brook trout fishing rules in achieving the goals of | | the trout management plan; and be it further |

| | | Sec. 2. Rulemaking. Resolved: That, by July 1, 2005, based on its | | review under section 1, the Department of Inland Fisheries and | | Wildlife shall propose rules to implement any necessary changes | | to the 4 categories of brook trout fishing rules. Rules adopted | | pursuant to this resolve are major substantive rules as defined | | in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter | | 2-A. |

| | | Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble, | | this resolve takes effect when approved. |
