| | | Sec. 1. 38 MRSA §1306, sub-§5 is enacted to read: |

| | | 5.__Construction and demolition debris in solid waste landfill | | or incineration facility.__After January 1, 2006, a person may | | not dispose of construction and demolition debris in a solid | | waste landfill or in an incineration facility in this State | | unless the structure from which the debris originated is or was | | located in this State. |

| | | This bill bans the disposal in a landfill or in an | | incineration facility of debris resulting from construction, | | remodeling, repair and demolition of structures unless the | | structure from which the debris originated is or was located in | | this State. |
