Fiscal Detail and Notes
As a result of requiring that owners and users of snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles must carry certain liability insurance, the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife estimates a decrease in the number of snowmobile and all-terrain vehicle registrations thereby reducing annual General Fund revenues by $112,951 and reducing annual Other Special Revenue Funds revenues by $145,251 beginning in fiscal year 2005-06.  In addition, municipal governments will lose an estimated $24,833 in annual fee revenue.
