Fiscal Detail and Notes
Requiring that run-off elections be conducted in certain situations will result in additional General Fund costs which will be incurred by the Department of the Secretary of State.  The Secretary of State estimates that each statewide run-off election will cost approximately $150,000.  The costs will depend on the number of statewide run-off elections that occur in a given fiscal year; the amounts can not be determined at this time.
