| | | Sec. 1. 18-A MRSA §5-509, as enacted by PL 1999, c. 711, §1, is | | repealed. |

| | | Sec. 2. 33 MRSA c. 7, sub-c. III-A, as enacted by PL 1999, c. 711, §3, is | | repealed. |

| | | This bill repeals the prohibition against an electronic or | | digital signature on a durable power of attorney or deed, | | mortgage or other document affecting title to real property in | | order to bring Maine law into conformity with federal law. |
