| | | Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §671, sub-§1-A is enacted to read: |

| | | 1-A.__Identification provided.__A voter who wishes to vote | | must provide proof of identity in the form of a photo driver's | | license, a photo identification card provided by the State or | | another piece of identification created by the Secretary__of | | State for the purpose of voting. |

| | | This bill requires a voter who wishes to vote in an election | | to provide proof of identity in the form of a photo driver's | | license, a state-provided picture identification card or some | | other identification card created by the Secretary of State for | | the purpose of voting. |
