Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1310 is enacted to read:

§1310.__Passengers restricted

A person under 21 years of age may not transport a passenger other than a family member for 90 days after being issued a license unless another person 21 years of age or older is also in the vehicle.

This bill restricts new drivers under 21 years of age from transporting passengers other than family members for the first 90 days of their license unless another person 21 years of age or older is also in the vehicle.
