Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 29 MRSA §953-A is enacted to read:

 
§953-A.__Document fees

 
A dealer selling a new or used motor vehicle may not charge a
separate fee that exceeds $25 for preparing documents.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill prohibits a vehicle dealer from charging more than
$25 for document preparation.
