Sec. 1. Funding. Resolved: That the Department of Human Services
shall develop a plan, establish criteria and provide the funding
for reliable, safe and affordable transportation for end-stage
renal disease patients who do not have access to transportation
to and from medically necessary dialysis treatment and dialysis-
related treatment procedures. The plan must parallel the
reimbursement system under the state Medicaid transportation
program guidelines.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Department of Human Services to
develop a plan, establish criteria and provide funding for
transportation to treatments for end-stage renal disease
patients. The resolve provides funding for those patients who do
not qualify for any other type of transportation reimbursement.
