Sec. 1. Review of state purchasing practices. Resolved: That the Bureau of
General Services within the Department of Administrative and
Financial Services shall review its purchasing practices to
determine which goods and services, if any, purchased by the
State are manufactured or produced by firms that have been
determined to have violated international standards of human
rights, labor or environmental standards, as determined by the
International Labor Organization of the United Nations, or other
suitable bona fide international body; and be it further

 
Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That the Bureau of General Services within
the Department of Administrative and Financial Services shall
report its findings to the Joint Standing Committee on Labor no
later than December 1, 1999.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Bureau of General Services within the
Department of Administrative and Financial Services to review its
purchasing practices to identify goods and services produced
under conditions that violate international standards of human
rights, labor or environmental standards.
