Sec. 1. 34-A MRSA §1209, sub-§2, ¶¶H and I, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 581, §§10 and 59, are amended to read:

H. Review the progress and accomplishments of juvenile justice and delinquency projects funded under the state plan; and

I. Regularly seek comments and opinions from juveniles currently under the jurisdiction of the juvenile justice system.; and

Sec. 2. 34-A MRSA §1209, sub-§2, ¶J is enacted to read:

J.__Provide a fund for after-school care by setting aside 10% of funds appropriated to the group in a quality child care business fund.

SUMMARY

This bill requires the Juvenile Justice Advisory Group to set aside 10% of funds for quality child and after-school care programs.
