Sec. 5. Staff assistance. Resolved: That the commission shall request
staffing and clerical assistance from the Legislative Council;
and be it further

 
Sec. 6. Report. Resolved: That the commission shall submit a report
of its findings and, if any, recommendations and accompanying
legislation to the Second Regular Session of the 119th
Legislature and to the Joint Standing Committee on Education by
December 1, 1999; and be it further

 
Sec. 7. Compensation. Resolved: That the commission members who are
Legislators are entitled to receive the legislative per diem for
each day's attendance at meetings of the commission. Other
members are not entitled to reimbursement.

 
Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble,
this resolve takes effect when approved.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve establishes the Commission to Study the Maine
Education Assessment. The commission has 12 members, 6 of whom
are Legislators. The commission is to report to the Second
Regular Session of the 119th Legislature and the Joint Standing
Committee on Education by December 1, 1999.
