INTERNET SERVICES

§1497.__Internet providers; identification of local access

numbers

An Internet provider providing service to a customer in this State shall clearly identify to any customer, whenever the customer connects via computer link to the provider, any local telephone numbers and long-distance telephone numbers that the customer may use to access the provider.__For purposes of this section the term "Internet provider" means a person who provides a customer access to the Internet for a fee.

§1497-A.__Violation

Violation of this chapter is an unfair trade practice as prohibited by Title 5, section 207.

SUMMARY

This bill requires Internet providers to identify to each customer any local access numbers and long-distance access numbers that the customer may use to access the provider.
