| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §1882, as enacted by PL 1997, c. 678, §13, is | | amended to read: |

| | | §1882. Access points and control stations |
|
| | | The bureau may determine the location of access points, | | control stations and watercourse crossings within the waterway | | except that the bureau shall allow continued access on all trails | | and roads approved for access prior to June 30, 1998. In | | addition, the bureau shall allow access at the bridge crossing | | along the waterway near the eastern line of T9, R13, commonly | | known as "John's Bridge." |

| | | This bill requires the Bureau of Parks and Lands to continue | | allowing access to the Allagash Wilderness Waterway via trails | | and roads approved for use prior to June 30, 1998. It also | | requires that access to the waterway be allowed at John's Bridge. |
