| | | Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §595, sub-§1, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 558, §1, is | | repealed. |

| | | Sec. 2. 26 MRSA §595, sub-§4, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 558, §1, is | | repealed. |
|
| | | Sec. 3. 26 MRSA §595, sub-§4-A is enacted to read: |
|
| | | 4-A.__Hiring not permitted.__An employer involved in a labor | | dispute, strike or lockout may not perform hiring activities | | while the labor dispute, strike or lockout is in progress. |
|
| | | Sec. 4. 26 MRSA §595, sub-§5, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 558, §1, is | | repealed. |
|
| | | This bill prohibits an employer from hiring replacement | | workers during a labor dispute. This bill also repeals that | | provision of current law that makes it a Class D crime for a | | person involved in a labor dispute to be armed with a dangerous | | weapon. |
|
|
