An Act to Restrict Recreational Activities in Cemeteries

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 13 MRSA §1374
is enacted to read:
§1374.__Prohibited acts
1.__Recreational activities.
__A person may not engage in
recreational activities in a cemetery or burial ground as
described in this chapter.__A person who violates this section
commits a civil violation for which a forfeiture of $100 may be
adjudged.
SUMMARY
This bill prohibits engaging in recreational activities in
cemeteries. A person who violates this section commits a civil
violation with the possibility of a $100 forfeiture.
