| | | Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §606, sub-§5 is enacted to read: |

| | | 5.__Single-sided ballots.__The Secretary of State shall | | furnish single-sided ballots to any municipality that does not | | use voting machines and whose clerk requests ballots printed only | | on one side. |

| | | Sec. 2. 21-A MRSA §609 is enacted to read: |
|
| | | §609.__Single-sided ballots |
|
| | | In addition to the requirements of sections 601, 601-A, 602 | | and 603, the Secretary of State shall prepare any ballots under | | this chapter in a single-sided form for any municipal clerk who | | requests single-sided ballots under section 606, subsection 5. |

| | | This bill requires the Secretary of State to furnish single- | | sided ballots to any municipality whose clerk requests single- | | sided ballots. |
