Samizu Matsuki, of Rockland, for her being recognized by the Salmagundi Art Club of New York City for her pioneering realistic art achievements during the 1970s. Ms. Matsuki, a Japanese-born artist, was nominated and admitted in 1973 as one of the first women of the Salmagundi Art Club for her realistic art achievements in returning the techniques of Western Classical Realism painting back to the West. She won the Gold Medal at the 1970 First New York International Art Show, the Grand Prix at the 1971 Locust Valley Art Show and the Award of Excellence at the Abraham and Straus-Hempstead Art Show, "Long Island Art '74." We extend our congratulations to Ms. Matsuki on her achievements;
